Serving the same master, by Juan Manuel de Prada

Serving the same master, by Juan Manuel de Prada (XLSEMANAL January 20, 2019) I summarize the clairvoyant article by Juan Manuel de Prada: Capitalism imposes an impersonal civilization, creates an anti-family and antinatalist mentality. (Chesterton, The Outline of Sanity). Capitalism has destroyed the family, encouraged divorces, despised the old domestic virtues, provoked a struggle between the sexes, destroyed the authority of the fathers, removed men from their homes in search of work. (Chesterton, The Well and the Shallows). On the other hand, there is communism, the base of the left, which is based on a cultural Marxism. The right declares itself capitalist, and falls into the contradiction of being in favor of the family and contrary to gender policies but follows the liberal ideology of revision and adaptation to the modern world. So, right and left, capitalism and communism serve the same master, and have as an ideology liberalism, which seek...

(Chesterton, The Outline of Sanity ). (Chesterton, The Well and the Shallows ).

Fake camera Camera that I sold her Fake camera Camera that I sold her Yesterday something happened to me that made me think. A person is capable of lying to earn a few euros. How much you will not lie to earn millions? A month ago I sold my Sony video camera for € 50 to a lady through wallapop. All right, we were in a park and in the conversation she told me that she had seen the camera and it was identical to her, that it did not work. I wanted it because I knew how to use it, and despite using miniDV tapes (something already obsolete), I had that sentimental whim of having it back. Yesterday I see in the wallapop chat that she wants to see me because the camera that I sold her does not work. I tell her I'm not a technician, but I can see her again to see if I can help her. We meet in the park and she shows me the camera. I would have liked to see my own face of amazement. The camera was scratched, dirty, with shock signals. It was normal that it did not wor...

Yesterday I was watching a story about the last moments of the life of Michael Jackson, a documentary of so many who have appeared. Not for knowing left me indifferent. He came back to disconcert me, to worry me. Michael Jackson was a drug addict. In his later years he was hooked on I do not know how many drugs stimulated him to provide that energy on stage, to relieve pain, to keep him "electric." But this force made him unable to sleep, so he also took painkillers to sleep. A drug that is injected to anesthetize in hospitals, the "propofol." I was put to anesthetize me when they did an endoscopy, it is fulminating, you fall asleep instantly, and you wake up without a headache, without any sequelae or effect. His private doctor gave him "propofol" 60 nights in a row, causing the lungs to suffer in such a way that they could not supply oxygen to the brain or the heart, his lungs "fell asleep", and with them, the whole body. The last night wa...

Esto es todo.

This is it. Volvió a desconcertarme, a inquietarme.

Queen

The first time I knew there was a group called Queen was when I went to my teenage friend Paco's house. It would be the year 82, when on one occasion we were in his house I saw in the room on his wall the poster of Queen of the four faces in overhead light that are the cover of the album "Bohemian Rhapsody". I was struck by the polyphony I used when listening to the album, I had never heard anything like that, on a rock album. Another moment of "meeting" with Queen was in '86, when we organized the Disco Festival at the Almenara Club for another year. Groups of boys performed on the stage of the auditorium doing play-back. I do not remember what I presented, was it "The Woman in Red" by Stevie Wonder?, but I do remember the recently released "The Kind of Magic", which my friend Pedro took, and danced with his companions. What memories! And then, always in the car, Queen, at full volume. Yesterday we were 6 teachers with 136 stu...
