The Americans

I just finished watching the series "The Americans" in its sixth and final season. Of all the series I've seen, "The Americans" had all the ingredients to not miss a chapter. Based on events that occurred at the end of the last century, (last year, 2016, Obama expelled the last Soviet spies) the drama and intrigue are continuously complemented.

A secret kept 20 years even to their own children. A secret activity (Directory S) and hidden in the eyes of friends, neighbors and family. Two Soviet "sleeping" spies living in the United States.

Although some chapters have seemed a bit slow rhythm and plot, the tension is increasing.

The garage scene has remained for the annals of the history of the television series. "Your best friend has betrayed you", we can say looking at Stan. "Your best friend is going to shoot you," we thought looking at Philip. The friendship of both leaps to pieces. But let him go. They are true feelings. From both.

Feelings broken by seeing their parents (because they can not do anything) stay with Paige.

Final ripper In the background "Brother in arms" by Dire Straits. After "With or without you" of U2. The heart in the throat.

Their children will live an authentic life, but they end up alone, losing everything, because their mission no longer makes sense. Overthrowing Gorbachev no longer makes sense. A series that has overwhelmed me and I recommend to lovers of good movies.
